Acrylic on Canvas

This was a reflective piece connecting me with an old memory of a power spot in the Bay Area where I used to go on Journey Walks. When I was painting this on my break before teaching, a student brought in a baby bird who had flew into a window on campus and dropped on a boy's backpack. We turned off the lights and kept the bird in a basket while it recovered from the shock. So, I kept watch on the bird while I finished this painting in the dark. The bird eventually stirred, and I took it outside. It flew into the closest tree to rest.
