While photographing the annual surf competition, the anticipation and emotional qualities of this scene captivated me the most.  There are girls that have come in from the waves and those bravely preparing to head out. The stance of the coaches are strong and supportive, displaying for me a perfect model for supporting young people in their specific interests.
