As an artist, I have always been fascinated with the relationship between light and sound. It most likely started with the natural flow that happens when you listen to music while you paint. From there, my fascination dove into the relationship of poetry to the visual imagination, and then to studies of synesthesia. It was the spiritual writings and abstractions of artist Wassily Kandinsky and studies of Dr. Emoto that helped me to understand the true dynamics at play. This led to one of my favorite painting workshops, in which I introduced the connection of Cymatics to shape through watercolor abstractions. In my experimentations, I have witnessed the power of sound both in its ill discord and in its massive healing effects. I am avid daily "sound bather" for this very reason. Early on in meditating, I would listen to the sounds of the whales which allowed me to go deeper and deeper into awakened trans and feel the depth of time itself. Record Keepers is a tribute to the ancient aquatic songs of the whales and the power of sound to uncover the codes we hold in our luminous cells.
