Karrie Jackson, Studio Art Teacher
In the Visual Art Department at Coronado School of the Arts, Ms. Jackson facilitates a working artist studio developing individualized instruction for a range of levels grades 9-12 as well as guiding students in developing an authentic body of artworks as well as exploring a range of materials and technique. With a focus on developing personal practices in a working studio, Ms. Jackson coaches students and facilitates College Portfolio preparations, public exhibitions, workshops and live Figure Drawing. As a Visiting Artist Instructor for Coronado High School, Ms. Jackson has organized and co-taught screen printing workshops, mural production and Chalk Walks as well as workshops that develop traditional art skills and abstraction.
